SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison with the Rev. Phil Stel, associate pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Janice E. “Jan” Tiesman, 64, of Morrison, died Tuesday at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, Ill.Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born April 25, 1943, in Morrison to James K. and Ida May Boelkins Stuart. She married Loren D. Tiesman on Feb. 19, 1965, in Morrison. He died in 2004.She was educated in Morrison schools and graduated from Morrison High School in 1961.She and her husband owned and operated Tiesman Excavation in Morrison for 27 years. She also was employed with the Whiteside County Farm Bureau as a secretary for a number of years. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. She was active in the Monday Night Ladies Bowling League for more than 25 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Julie (Brett) Nicklaus of Dixon, Ill.; two sons, Kurt (Kerry Klee) Tiesman of Jackson, Mich., and Brian (Dawn) Tiesman of Morrison; four grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Ida May Stuart of Morrison; and one brother, Thermon (Sara) Stuart of Fulton, Ill.
