The Clinton Herald Monday July 21, 1997 p. 7 Vera V. Judd, of 1953 Glendale Road, died Friday at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Weghoft officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brent, Scott, Kevin, Andrew, Christopher and David Judd. He born Nov. 10, 1918 in Clinton, to Earl and Mae Swailes Stone. He married Carroll W. Judd, Nov. 27, 1938, in Anamosa. He attended the Clinton Schools. She helped her husband in their bakery for 12 years. She was employed as a cake decorator with Randall's Discount Food Store for eight years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, four sons, Larry E. Judd of Clinton, Allen S. Judd of Decator, Ill., Ronald D. Judd of Pinetta, Fla., and Gregory D. Judd of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Calvin Stone of Boone. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Death date: July 18, 1997.
