The Clinton Herald Monday November 20, 1911 p. 5 Mrs. Levi Judd, who if she had lived until April 5, 1912, would have been 90 years of aged, died sometime Friday night at her home in Rock Island, where she resided with her husband and son, H.N. Judd, at 504 Michigan avenue. She went to bed as usual Friday night and her death was discovered Saturday morning by her aged husband, when he went to her room to awaken her. Death, it is thought, was due to old age. The body was brought to this city and the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bowman M.E. church, Rev. Harry White of the Methodist church officiating. Intement will be in Springdale cemetery. The pallbearers will be five sons, E.R. Judd, L.D. Judd, M.S. Judd, C.F. Judd, H.N. Judd and one grandson, T.B. Judd. The aged woman was until two years ago a resident of this city, coming here with her husband about twenty-seven years ago and residing in Maple avenue until two years ago, when they moved to Rock Island, Ill., where they lived with their son, H.N. Judd. She and her husband were very well known in Clinton and both having come from a very sturdy race of people, were strong and well able to take care of themselves at the age of seventy five years. Lovina King, Mrs. Judd's maiden name, was the last survivor of the King family. There are 330 descendants of the Judd family and at the reunion of the family in this city about five years ago, there was an attendance of 100 members of the family, among them being Mr. and Mrs. Levi Judd. Mrs. Judd was born in Pittsfield, Mass., April 5, 1822, at which place she received her early education. It was while residing at Whitehall, N.Y., that she was married to Levi W. Judd, the wedding occurring August 12, 1846, Mr. Judd being left to mourn the death of his wife, the couple having been married for 65 years. The deceased woman leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband, seven children, E.R., L.D., M.S. and Charles Judd of Clinton, Thomas Judd of Sidney, Neb., and W.H. Judd of Seattle, Wash., and H.N. Judd of Rock Island, Ill. Charles Judd of Clinton had always resided with his parents and was their constant complanion and caretaker.
