Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, Clinton.SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Schauer officiating.CLINTON — Robert “Ken” Pell Sr., 73, of Clinton, died Thursday at Skiff Medical Center, Newton.Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Clinton AMVETS Post 28.Pallbearers will be Robert, Matthew and Christopher Blodgett and Ken Pell Jr. He was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Huntsville, Ala., to John and Flossie Maynard Pell. He married Mary Schaffer on Sept. 5, 1953, in Iuka, Miss.He received an associate’s degree in electronics.He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1958. He owned and operated A To Z Auto Sales for 18 years. He also worked with Clinton Corn Processing — Archer Daniels Midland in security.He was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and the Masons. Survivors include one daughter, Vicki (Robert) Blodgett of Newton; one son, Lt. Col. Robert K. (Toby) Pell Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda (JR) Berry of Huntsville, Ala.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, one brother and one niece. Death date: Sept. 13, 2007
