SERVICES: The rite of committal and graveside prayers will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, DeWitt. The Rev. H. Robert Harness will be officiating. Interment will follow. A funeral Mass was held Feb. 16 at Christ the King Catholic Community Church in Las Vegas. Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, is assisting with arrangements.LAS VEGAS — Dr. Geraldine Welsh, 92, of Las Vegas and formerly of DeWitt, died Feb. 1 in Las Vegas. She was born in Clinton County on Feb. 15, 1914, to to Richard and Estella McDonald Welsh. She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in DeWitt and the University of Iowa where she received a Ph.D.She was a teacher/psychotherapist. She gave piano lessons. During World War II, she served with the American Red Cross in Pearl Harbor, Guam, Japan and Germany. Survivors include nieces and nephews.Condolences may be made online at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters and three nephews.Death date: Feb. 1, 2007
