Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating.MORRISON, Ill. — Eleanor J. Tervelt, 86, of Morrison, died Tuesday at Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison.Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.Pallbearers will be Mark Tervelt, Paul Tervelt, Andrew Tervelt, John Port, Ralph Holesinger, Henry Van Zuiden and Devin Tervelt. She was born July 7, 1921, in Clinton to Ralph and Mary Bonneur Holesinger. She married Marvin C. Tervelt on Feb. 21, 1939, in Morrison. She was educated in Whiteside County (Ill.) schools in rural Fulton, Ill., and Morrison.She was employed as a cook with various area restaurants and clubs. She also was employed as cook in the Morrison High School cafeteria. She also owned and operated Eleanor’s Dinning Room, Morrison, for several years. After retirement she and her husband did janitorial work at local banks in Morrison. She was a member Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison.Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Larinda Tervelt of Alanta; three sons, Richard (Bonnie) Tervelt of Burlington, N.C., Ronald (Carole) Tervelt of Clayton, Calif., and Larry (Debra) Tervelt of Loves Park, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Adeline (Wilbur) Port of Sterling, Ill., and Ramona (Roland) Van Zuiden of Morrison; and one brother, Vernon (Mary) Holesinger of Mount Carroll, Ill.Memorials may be made to Unity Christian School, Fulton, Ill.Condolences may be made online at www.bosmarenkes.com.She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
