Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where a vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with the Rev. James Chappell and Deacon Bob Head officiating. MAQUOKETA — Rosemary M. Skoff, 84, of Maquoketa, died Monday at her home.Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sugar Creek. She was born Feb. 18, 1923, in rural Charlotte to John and Mary Assenmacher Herwath. She married Verl “Skeeter” Skoff on Nov. 12, 1947, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sugar Creek. He died in 1980. She graduated from Riggs Country School. She was a homemaker and also farmed with her husband. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa.Survivors include four daughters, Mary (Daniel) Sieverding of Bellevue, Darlene (J.C.) Cox of Maquoketa, Linda (Dennis) Hahn of Camanche and Debra Skoff of New York, N.Y.; one son, Tom (Barb) Skoff of Charlotte; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one niece and nephew whom she raised, Donald (Bev) Skoff and Gloria (Ken) Schrader, both of Camanche.
