SERVICES: Private family services were held. Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, was in charge of arrangementsCLINTON — Vincent J. Lord, 81, of Clinton, died Wednesday at Mercy North Hospital. Burial was in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. He was born Dec. 20, 1925, to Vincent and Elizabeth Detterman Lord. He married Mary Eganhouse in 1948 in Clinton. He was a graduate of Lyons High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He was employed with Northwest Bell as a teletype repairman until his retirement in 1962. He was a member of the AMVETS. Survivors include his wife; four sisters, Betty Jane Petersen of Clinton, Merrette (Allan) Horn of Albuquerque, N.M., and Audry Lemanski and Joan Hanegan, both of Clinton; and two brothers, Duane (Lucille) Lord and Eugene (Julie) Lord, both of Clinton. The family requests that memorials be made to VNA or Mercy Hospice.He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.Death date: Sept. 12, 2007
