The Clinton Herald Wednesday December 13, 1989 p. 14 Wayne Richard Connell, 55, of Clinton, died Tuesday at his home of natural causes. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Joseph Denning officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schultz-McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a 7 p.m. rosary will be recited. burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery. Mr. Connell was born May 15, 1934, in DeWitt to Leo J. and Estella Welsh Connell. He had been employed as a tax auditor for the Tax Division of the State of Iowa. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a graduate of Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa. Survivors include a son, Mark; his father of Dubuque; a sister, Mrs. Phil (Mary) Sentra of Portland, Ore.; and two brothers, Al of Grand Mound, and William Gerald of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his mother.
