The Clinton Herald Monday September 10, 1979 p. 12 Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Boniface Church for Mrs. Clara Manning, 94, who died Saturday at The Alverno. The Revs. Thomas Spiegel and John Spiegel, both nephews of the deceased, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation is until 9 p.m. today at Pape Funeral Home, with the Daughters of Isabella rosary at 3 p.m. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Donald Manning, Joseph Manemann, Leo Droste, Richard Spiegel, Joseph Walton and Vernon Rosenberger. Mrs. Manning was born Jan. 17, 1885, in Clinton County, to Henry H. and Barbara Brinkman Manemann. On Jan. 7, 1909, she married Thomas Manning. She was a member of St. Boniface Church, Alter and Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy, a brother and four sisters.
