The Clinton Advertiser Monday November 23, 1925 p. 6 Mrs. Eva Brinkmann, widow of the late Joseph Brinkmann, passed away at 8:15 o'clock Saturday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. Henry Arkenberg of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Sugar Creek. There will be a solemn requiem high mass and burial will be in the St. Joseph's cemetery. Eva Borman was born in Prussia, Germany, March 23, 1839 and was 86 years old. She was married October 28, 1858, to Joseph Brinkmann and 14 children were born to the union, three of whom died in infancy, and a fourth, Helen, at the age of 22 years. Those left to mourn are five sons, Otto B., Charlotte; John B., Estherville; Jacob Earl, Henry and Joseph, Cavour, South Dakota; five daughters, Mrs. Barbara Mannamann, Lyons; Mrs. Robert Powers, Preston; Mrs. Henry Arkenberg, Charlotte; Mrs. Richard Powers, Delmar; Mrs. John Dolan, Charlotte; one brother, John Borman of Preston, 46 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
