DROSTE, MANEMANN, SCANNELL, JAEGER, HOLDGRAFTER, WAGEMESTER

The Clinton Herald Monday May 1, 1972 p. 12 Henry J. Droste, 65, 2521 N. 4th St., died Sunday in Mercy Hospital. He was a retired DuPont employee. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Irenaeus Church, the Rev. William O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Maurice Holdgrafer, Henry Wagemester, Dennis Burckman and Harold, William and Dr. Richard Droste. All are nephews. Visitation in the Pape Funeral Home will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Mr. Droste was born Oct. 26, 1906, in Clinton, son of Clement and Eva Manneman Droste. He was married June 24, 1930, in Davenport, to Miss Lucille Scannell. He retired in 1970. Mr. Droste is survived by his widow; two sons, Kenneth of Waukegan, Ill., and James of St. Louis; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Jaeger of Rockford, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Angeline) Holdgrafter; Miss Bernice Droste and Mrs. Al (Marie) Wagemester of Clinton, four brothers, Werner, Joseph and Arnold Droste, of Clinton and Leo Droste of Goose Lake and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
