The Clinton Herald Thursday October 22, 1992 p. 14 Werner W. Droste, 84, of 1640 8th Ave. S., died Wednesday in Samaritan North, following an extended illness. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Prince of Peace Parish, St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Ronald Young and Rev. Raymond J. Ruppenkamp concelebrating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Pape Funeral Home, where a 7 p.m. family rosary will be recited. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Moore, David Vogt, Jerry Mona, Thomas Dreier, Lance Droste and Craig Miller. Mr. Droste was born April 19, 1908, in Clinton, to Clem and Eva Manemann Droste. He married Elizabeth Pestka, Aug. 4, 1934, in Charlotte. He had farmed north of Clinton for 54 years before retiring and moving to Clinton in 1990. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, loved card playing, woodworking and traveling. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Shirley) Miller of Tempe, Ariz.; three sons, Dr. Richard W. of Sun Lakes City, Ariz., Dr. Del J. of Tempe, Ariz., and Dr. Charles J. of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Wagemester of Clinton; and two brothers, Leo and Arnold Droste, both of Clinton. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Death date: Oct. 21, 1992.
