The Advertiser Saturday May 7, 1921 p. 5 Phillip A. McGovern died Friday morning at Oak Forest sanitarium, near Chicago. Deceased was born in Clinton October 4th. 1898, and was 22 years of age. He contracted the flu while in the army, which developed into pneumonia and later into tuberculosis, which caused his death. He leaves to mourn his loss his father, John McGovern; four sisters, Mrs. Bert Heidt, Catherine Irene and Margaret and two brothers John and Farrell, all of Clinton. The remains are expected to arrive tonight and will be taken to the home of his father, 430 Fourteenth avenue. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed. An uncle, Thomas McGovern, is here from Cedar Rapids, to attend the funeral.
