SAVANNA, Ill. — Carolyn L. Lease, 91, of Savanna, died Saturday at her home.
Cremation rites will take place.
She was born March 13, 1915, to Alfred and Helen Beach Tracy in Milwaukee. She married Claude Lease Sr. on July 10, 1933, during the World’s Fair in Chicago.
She attended and graduated from Savanna High School.
She was a self-employed seamstress; she worked with J.C. Penney in Clinton in the drapery department. She was a cook with the Savanna Army Depot and worked at the Ben Franklin Store in Savanna.
Survivors include one son, Claude “Butch” (Connie) Lease Jr. of Savanna; one daughter, Martha Frances (Gary) Page of Hastings, Minn.; one son in-law, Edward Hiher of Savanna; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
