Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

CLINTON — Elna G. Elifson, 85, of Clinton, died Saturday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Burton Marlowe, Jerry Wheeler, Steve Bousselot, Scott Reed, Mark Peters and Joe Leonard.

She was born March 21, 1921, in Georgetown, Texas, to John and Ellen Lundblad Munson. She married James Elifson on Oct. 20, 1946, in Oconomowoc, Wis.; he died in 1999.

She was a 1939 graduate Georgetown Texas High School and the Breckinridge Hospital Nursing Program in Austin, Texas.

She was employed as Dr. Rockwell’s office nurse for many years and also worked at Mercy and Jane Lamb hospitals and was a private duty nurse for many years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a volunteer nurse and very active with the American Red Cross.

Survivors include one daughter, Jane Marlowe of Clinton; two sons, Harold Elifson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and John (Donna) Elifson of Land O Lakes, Fla.; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brother, William “Allen” Munson of Georgetown, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Trinity Lutheran Church or to the Alverno Health Care Facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and four brothers.
