Visitation: None. Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison. The Rev. Heju Cha, associate pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, will be officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Mossie M. Wiersema, 86, of Morrison, died Saturday at her home.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born March 1, 1920, in Wilton, Ky., to James and Mary L. Elick Holt. She married John Willis “Bill” Carroll on April 13, 1934, in Harlan, Ky. He died in 1945. She then married James Wiersema in April 1947 in Morrison. He died in 1968.

She was employed with General Electric, Morrison.

Survivors include two daughters, Billie Jean Scaff of Chicago and Betty Hathaway of Savanna, Ill.; two sons, Willis (Selena) Carroll and Ernest ( Vicki) Carroll, both of Morrison; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
