Betty Jane Hosette

Betty Jane Hosette, 72, of Clinton, IA, died Monday February 5, 2007 at her home in Clinton, IA. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery, in Clinton, IA.

Betty was born on June 18, 1934, in Clinton, IA, the daughter of William and Marvel Jean (Penticoff) Ferguson. She was a 1953 Clinton High School graduate.

She married Donald M. Hosette on September 11, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa; he died December 22, 1996. She had been employed as an aide with the VNA Home Health Care for several years retiring in 1994.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include, Daughters, Michelle Simons of Clinton, IA; and Joelle (Gary) Laughlin of Maquoketa, IA; 4 grandchildren, Angelique Simons, Dylan Simons, Tessa Laughlin and Colton Laughlin; her brother, Clyde (Pauline) Ferguson of Clinton, IA; and her sister, Carole (Chuck) Leibert of Clinton, IA.

In addition to her husband her parents and her sister, Helen, preceded her in death.

Memorials may be made to Clinton Humane Society.
