Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Visitation will be followed by a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Morrison United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gary Curl, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, will be officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Robert L. Patten, 73, of Morrison, died Tuesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

He was born Oct. 8, 1933, in Sterling, Ill., to Lester J. and Alta Kraft Patten. He married Susan J. Howe on June 17, 1956, in Sterling.

He was educated in Galt (Ill.) grade schools and graduated from Rock Falls (Ill.) High School. He completed a tool and die apprenticeship program at General Electric.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was employed with General Electric as a tool and die maker before retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church. He also was a member and served as vice president of the Morrison area AARP. He belonged to the Quad-City Times Plus 60 Club, American Legion Post 296 of Sterling and Sterling Moose Lodge. He was a member and past president of the Morrison Lions Club and member and past grand master of the the Morrison Masonic Lodge, Dunlap Chapter. He was a member of the General Electric Athletic Association, Morrison, and served on the loan committee at Advantage One Credit Union, Morrison.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Krista (Steve) Wanzong of Madison, Wis.; four sons, Jim (Deby) Patten of Belleville, Ill., Thomas (Susannah) Patten of Morrison, Steven (Jaclyn) Patten of Rock Falls and Mike (Deane) Patten of Morrison; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Olson of Camp Douglas, Wis., and Mrs. Mary Jane Chidester of Las Vegas; four brothers, Melvin (Irene) Patten of New Port Richey, Fla., Gerald (Lorraine) Patten of Sterling, Warren (Eva Jane) Patten of Rock Falls and Tommy (Janice) Patten of Morrison.

Memorials will be established.
