Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Jones, pastor of York Baptist Church, Thomson, Ill., officiating.

SAVANNA, Ill. — Walter “Bud” Wilson Hamilton, 70, of Savanna, died Saturday at Mercy North Hospital.

Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Freeport, Ill.

He was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Mount Carroll, Ill., to Bromley and Mae Henson Hamilton. He married Karen Kay Trude on May 29, 1971, in Savanna.

He graduated from Mount Carroll High School in 1956.

He served with the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.

He was a machinist with Dupont, Clinton, for 32 years.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Dwayne (Diane) Hamilton of Savanna; three daughters, Marsha Wilson of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Renee (Todd) Robbe of Savanna and Kim (Brent) Keil of Camanche; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen (Robert) McIntyre of Savanna.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
