Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Albany United Methodist Church, preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service. The Rev. William G. Olsen will officiate.

ALBANY, Ill. — Shirley Marie Tusing, 84, of Albany, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.

Burial will be in Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany. Pallbearers will be Danny Bitler, Mike Clancy, Ralph Copeland, Rob Copeland, Michael Peppers, Nathan Schroeder and Charles Swanson.

She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in LeClaire to William and Nellie Shannon. She married Harry Glenn Bitler on June 5, 1942, in Rock Island, Ill. He died Nov. 5, 1955. She married Warren Tusing on Jan. 17, 1957, in Fulton, Ill. He died April 2, 1988.

She was educated in Rock Island, Ill., schools.

She worked in the family business, Tusing Service Station, for 30 years.

She was a member of Albany United Methodist Church, Albany.

Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Peppers of St. Louis, Lori (Curtis) Lisius of Albany and Deborah (Robert) Schroeder of Albany; a son, Ron Bitler of Albany; seven grandchildren; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Bowen of Florida; and two brothers, Wayne Shannon and Bob (Stella) Shannon both of Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shirley Tusing memorial fund.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, a granddaughter and two sisters.
