Marion “Spike” Duuck

Visitation: Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lemke Funeral Homes, Lyons Chapel, 2304 N. Second St., Clinton.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

CLINTON — Marion “Spike” Duuck, 67, of Clinton, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Burial will be held at a later date.

He was born March 31, 1939, in Rock Falls, Ill., to Fay and Erma McEleney Duuck. He married Mary Ann Stone on Jan. 18, 1964, in Prophetstown, Ill.

He was a 1957 graduate of Sterling (Ill.) High School.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

He worked with General Electric for more than 30 years until his retirement.

He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1971.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Hope (Gaylynn) Eggers of Savanna, Ill., Jill (Cliff) Sorrell of Decatur, Ill., and Robbin Duuck of Aledo, Ill.; one son, Ken (Karen) Jackson of Clinton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Death date: Jan. 28, 2007
