Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton.
SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Chaplain Connie Beck officiating.
CLINTON — David S. Cook, 85, of Clinton, died Friday at his home.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David and Mike McClimon, Scott and Dean Kenworthy and Matt, Tim and Jacob Mills.
He was born April 22, 1917, in Wheatland to Howard S. and Inez Wells Cook. He married Evelyn Shirk on Dec. 23, 1938, in Clinton.
He graduated from Clinton High School in 1935.
He was a welder with Clinton Bridge Works for many years. He also served as a Clinton County Sheriff’s deputy for more than 20 years before retiring in 1982.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Nora (Larry) McClimon of Clinton; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one grandchild and one brother.
