Carl Joseph “Butch” Cornwell

Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Kingery-Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue.

SERVICES: 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Gammelin officiating.

BELLEVUE — Carl Joseph “Butch” Cornwell, 61, of Bellevue, died Thursday at his home.

Private graveside services will be conducted Monday at the St. John’s Cemetery, Bellevue.

He was born Aug. 1, 1945, in Dubuque to Alfred and Betty Fox Cornwell. He married Shirley Felderman on July 14, 1973, in Bellevue.

He was a self-employed handyman in Bellevue for more than 20 years. He also worked with Clinton Engines.

Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Mary Lou (George) Flanagan, Betty Jean Ansel and Phyllis (Dick) Lang of Dubuque; one brother-in-law, Gary Seiler of Bellevue; two sisters-in-law, Sam (Bill) Demker of Dubuque, Bonnie (Eugene) Cleveland of Prior Lake, Minn.; and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Death date: Jan. 25, 2007
