Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. today at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Ave., Joliet.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the retirement home where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with the Rev. Benet Fonck officiating.

WILMINGTON, Ill. — Catherine E. Sullivan, 87, formerly of Wilmington, died Thursday at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, Joliet, Ill.

Burial will be in St. John The Baptist Cemetery, Savanna.

She was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Savanna, Ill., to Irene Lahey and J. Frank Sullivan.

She attended and graduated from schools in Savanna, Ill. She also graduated from Mount St. Clare College, Clinton, in 1939, and Lewis University, Lockport, Ill., in December of 1972, with a bachelor’s degree.

She taught school for three years at Daggetts and worked with the federal government for 30 years before retiring in June of 1972. She also worked with First National Bank, Wilmington, for 41/2 years and was a bookkeeper with Dr. Gordon Richards for 41/2 years.

She was past grand regent of Father Antl Court Catholic Daughters of America, Savanna, and state monitor for the State of Illinois Court, Catholic Daughters of America. She also was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women, Wilmington.

Death date: Jan. 18, 2007
