The Clinton Herald Tuesday February 15, 1966 p. 6 William Farrell (Terry) McGovern, 64, 412 15th Ave. S., died early today in Mercy hospital. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Snyder-Schmitz funeral home, where visitation begins at 7:30 p.m. today. Mr. McGovern was born Jan. 25, 1902, in Bryant, the son of John and Mary Keough McGovern. He attended St. Mary's schools and was a member of St. Mary's church. He married Marie Karaway, Nov. 4, 1929, in Waukegan, Ill. He was employed as a switchman for the Chicago North Western railroad. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Terrence P. of Bowie, Md. and John Thomas of Clinton; two daughters, Mary Therese of Bowie and Margaret Ann at home, five grand-children; one brother, J.T. of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
