The Clinton Herald Thursday March 22, 1951 p. 20 Mrs. J.L. Bohnson, 84, of 1002 South Eighth street, died at 3 a.m. today. The body was taken to the Bragonier-Fay chapel, where friends may call beginning Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel, with Dr. L.D. Havinghurst officiating. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Mrs. Bohnson was born Edith C. Durfee Oct. 21, 1866, in New York state. She came to Iowa with her family in the early days, settling in Clinton. She was married to J.L. Bohnson, and lived all her married life in Clinton. Her husband was cashier of the former Peoples Trust and Savings bank here, before his death about 15 years ago. Surviving is one son, Roland, of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Van, in October, 1950.
