SONORA, Calif. — Ralph C. Potts, 86, of Sonora, died Jan. 4 at Sonora Community Hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1920, in Neponset, Ill.
He lived in San Jose briefly and lived for the past 32 years in Sonora.
He was a self-employed private investigator for 30 years. For the past 10 years, he installed LifeLine for Sonora Community Hospital.
He was a member of the Sonora Elks Lodge for 47 years and of the Loyal Order of the Moose.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Margie Potts of Sonora; two daughters, Sandra Isenhour of Clinton and Sherry (Gary) Wilson of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcheta Sluyter of Napa, Calif., and Lois (Ernest) Garcia of Valley Springs, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, his mother and a son.
