Nathaniel J. “Nat” Clark

SERVICES: Mass will be held Jan. 12 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cherokee Village.

NIXA, Mo. — Nathaniel J. “Nat” Clark, 93, of Nixa and formerly of Moline, Ill., died Dec. 8 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Mo.

The body will be cremated. Interment of cremains will be in the columbarium at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cherokee Village, Ark.

He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Davenport to Nathaniel A. and Nellie Tillotson Clark. He grew up in Lyons. He married Martha J. Duquenne on Nov. 20, 1937, in Moline, Ill. They lived in the area for 35 years.

He worked with American Machine and Metals, East Moline, Ill., for 36 years and was head of purchasing when it became Ametek Corp. He later was head of purchasing for five years with Kersey Mining Manufacturing Co., Bluefield, Va.

Survivors include three children, Coleen A. (Gary) Lovested of Rock Island, Ill., Nathaniel “Bud” (Barbara) Clark of Springfield, Mo., and Alanson D. “Lanny” (Marsha) Clark of East Moline; one grandchild; one sister, Joan A. Bentley of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one grandchild, one brother, one sister and one sister-in-law.
