Visitation: 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Kermott, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sterling, officiating.

STERLING, Ill. — Alberta Irene Michels, 72, of The Sterling Pavilion, and formerly of Fulton, Ill., died Wednesday at The Sterling Pavilion.

Pallbearers will be Pete and Robert Garcia, Brian Scykes, Fred and Joseph Michels and Mark Michels Jr.

Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery.

She was born July 30, 1934, in Fulton to Henry and Effie Houzenga Faber. She married Frederick H. Michels on March 11, 1956, in Fulton.

She was educated at Fulton Christian School.

She worked at the former Jane Lamb Hospital, Clinton.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sterling.

Survivors include five daughters, Cynthia (Pete) Garcia of Sterling, Cheryl (Brian) Scykes of Rock Falls, Ill., Christine (Bill) Haenitsch of Mesa, Ariz., and Carol (Javier) Frias of Morrison, Ill.; three sons, Darrell (Julie Hart) Michels of South St. Paul, Minn., Allen Michels of Sterling and Randy Michels of Decatur, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois (Bill) Seaman of Sterling; and one brother, Leonard (Diana) Faber of Oak Harbor, Ohio.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Sterling.
