VISITATION: 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way, Clinton.
SERVICES: Noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
CLINTON — Ruth Irene Hornbeck, 82, of Clinton, died Thursday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
Private burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 22, 1924, to Merle and Ruth Ward Bice Sr. in Clinton. She married Dwight Hornbeck on Feb. 18, 1950, in Des Moines.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Ruth (Steven) Hornbeck-Ketchu of Tustin, Calif.; one son, Patrick Hornbeck of Paradise, Calif.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Bentley and Rose Fuhrman of Clinton; three brothers, John (Katherine) Bice of Monnent, Colo., Edward Bice of University City, Texas, and Merle “Pat” (Helen) Bice of Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one sister and one brother.
