SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Robert Krueger officiating. Law-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
SABULA — Maxine Mae Davids, 82, of Sabula, died Wednesday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula.
She was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Sabula to Arthur and Sarah Johnson Marburger. She married Donald L. Davids on Jan. 13, 1946, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula. He died in 2001.
She was employed with the Savanna (Ill.) Army Depot, grocery stores in Sabula and was a cook at the Unicorn in Clinton. She and her husband owned and operated Don’s Cafe, Don’s Tavern and Don’s Mobil, all in Sabula.
Survivors include three daughters, Darla (Ray) Jorgensen of Clinton, Donnette (Toby) Themas of Savanna and Diane Davids of Clinton; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Edward Marburger of Sabula.
A memorial fund has been established for Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula, in her name.
