LAUREL, Md. — Duane G. Roling, 73, of Laurel, died Nov. 22.
Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Laurel.
He was born Dec. 10, 1932. He was a native of Clinton. He was married to Myrna Roling for 50 years.
He graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree and Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He lived in the Washington-Baltimore area for more than 40 years. He lived in Laurel since 1969.
He was employed with N.S.A. until 1993. During his retirement, he was a professor at the University of Maryland, University College.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Gregory A., Richard A., David A. and Mark A. Roling; daughters, Julie A. Roling and Maria A. Ammon; sons- and daughters-in-law, Matthew Ammon, Michele, Janet and Susan Roling; 16 grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeanette Roling Bartels and Marilyn Roling, both of Clinton; and one brother, Robert Roling of Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
