OXFORD JUNCTION — Bernice L. White, 99, of Rapid City, S.D., and formerly of Oxford Junction, died Saturday at her daughter’s home.
Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery, Oxford Junction.
She was born May 4, 1907, to Lewis and Elizabeth Fields Becker in Clinton County. She married Joe Benhart in 1925; he died in 1971. She then married Edgar White in 1972; he died in 1993.
She attended Lost Nation schools.
In 1996, she moved to Rapid City to be close to her daughter, Betty.
She worked with the Minneluzahan Senior Center three times a week and in the thrift shop until two years ago.
She attended Open Bible Christian Center.
Survivors include one son, Wayne (Etta) Benhart of Corunna, Mich.; one daughter, Betty (Amil) Dirksen of Rapid City; one brother, Richard (Elsie) Becker of Columbia, Mo., 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Hospice of the Hills.
