SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
CLINTON — Virtus L. Kruse, 90, of Clinton, died Thursday at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
He was born March 12, 1916, in Bryant, to Johanas and Emma Harms Kruse. He married Evelyn Nagel on Feb. 28, 1948, in Davenport.
He farmed in the Bryant and Elvira areas most of his life.
He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the Izaak Walton League.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shirlee (Richard) Spenslee of Chandler, Ariz,; a son, Jerry (Gail) Kruse of Fulton, Ill.; four grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; a great-grandchild; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters- in- law, Jeanette Kruse of Maquoketa and Geraldine Kruse of Preston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
