David F. Thompson

SERVICES: Were Dec. 2 at Gloria Dei Lutheran, Paradise Valley, Ariz. The National Cremation Society assisted the family.

PHOENIX — David F. Thompson, 76, of Phoenix, died Nov. 24.

He was born in Clinton.

He graduated from the University of Iowa School of Pharmacy in 1953.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He worked in a hospital in Illinois and Arizona for 50 years. He served as chief pharmacist with Phoenix General/John C. Lincoln before retiring after 35 years. He served as a University of Arizona preceptor, mentoring many pharmacy students.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; daughters, Katherine (Tim) Hinkle and Elizabeth (Mike) Purcell; one son, Eric (Samantha) Thompson; five grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Arlene Thompson of DeWitt; one brother-in-law, Verne Blaser of Camanche; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gloria Dei Prayer Garden Fund.

Death Date: Nov. 24, 2006
