SERVICES: Were 10 a.m. Saturday at Springdale Cemetery. The Rev. Jennifer Henry officiated. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
REINBECK — Regina Berzins, 96, of Reinbeck and formerly of Clinton, died Nov. 20 at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck.
She was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Latvia to John and Karline Martinovskis Dumbrouskis. She married Ernest Berzins on Sept. 15, 1935, in Latvia. He died in 1959.
She and her husband were sponsored by Zion Lutheran Church in the late 1940s as they fled from Communist rule in Latvia.
She was a seamstress with the Clinton Garment Factory for 26 years before retiring in 1975.
She moved to Reinbeck in February 2003.
There are no immediate survivors in the United States.
