SERVICES: 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff McIlrath, pastor of Emmanuel Reformed Church, officiating.
STERLING, Ill. — Henry Merema, 96, of Parkway Center, Sterling, died Wednesday at Parkway Center.
Burial will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, Ill.
He was born Dec. 20, 1909, in Morrison to Lambert and Roelvina VanDyke Merema. He married Hazel M. Amman on Feb. 25, 1951, in Fulton.
He attended rural Fulton grade schools.
He and his wife farmed in the rural Morrison area.
He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Morrison.
Survivors include his wife and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Emmanuel Reformed Church.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and seven brothers.
