SAVANNA, Ill. — Catherine A. “Katie” Rabuck, 82, of Freeport, Ill., and formerly of Savanna, died Saturday at Roolan Health Center, Lacey, Wash.
Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Savanna.
She was born in Cazenovia, Wis., on Aug. 21, 1924, to Peter and Winnifred Jackson Wertz. She married George W. Rabuck on Jan. 2, 1947, in Germantown, Wis. He died in 2002.
She worked with Burgess Battery, Freeport; the Garment Factory, Clinton; and Eaton Corp., Savanna, before retiring in 1990.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include her sons, Robert G. “Bob” Rabuck of Freeport and James L. (Joey) Rabuck of Olympia, Wash.; one daughter, Louise C. Bardell of Morrison, Ill.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Rockweiler of Cazenovia.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and three brothers.
