Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Christine Minor-Heiling officiating.

LOW MOOR — Willa M. Howson, 101, of Low Moor died Monday at Westwing Place, DeWitt.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Hofer, Paul Howson, Gary Doescher, David Doescher, Tom Wiebenga and Todd Wiebenga.

She was born April 25, 1905, near Mount Vernon, to Thomas and Anna Whitlatch Morgan. She married Vern W. Howson on Jan. 7, 1925, in Clinton. He died April 19, 1982.

The couple farmed at rural Low Moor. She continued to live on the farm until moving to Amber Ridge Assisted Living in DeWitt at age 95.

She was a longtime member of the Low Moor United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Jean Doescher and Helen Hofer of DeWitt, Janice (Tom) Wiebenga of Clinton, Dwayne (Helen) Howson of Camanche; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Amber Ridge or Low Moor Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son and a sister.
