Mrs. William Van Sant Dies at Her Home in Clinton.

After an illness of eight months from heart trouble, the death of Harriet C. Van Sant, wife of William Van Sant, occurred at 12:15 o'clock Monday afternoon, at her home, 433 Ninth Avenue.

The deceased was born in Oswego County, New York, September 17, 1845. During the past 28 years she had lived in Clinton and many warm friends won during her long residence here, learned with sorrow of her death. She is survived by her husband and children as follows: Mrs. D. L. Stamm of Clinton, Mrs. Geo E Brown of Boone, Will C., Clarence, Edward, Frank, Grace, Charles and Morris. Three sister, Mrs. M. G. Thompson of Horton, Kas, Mrs. Susan __kins of Hanover, Ill., and a brother, Henry Wilder, residing in the west.

Mrs. Van Sant was a member of the Women's Relief Corps, the Independent Benevolent Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.

Funeral services will be conducted at the late residence on Ninth avenue at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning. Rev E. V. Claypool, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, of which the deceased was a member, officiating, and at 11:30 the remains will be taken to Mt. Vernon, where interment will be made.
