Harold H. Jaeger

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jennifer Henry officiating.

CLINTON — Harold H. Jaeger, 88, of Clinton, died Wednesday at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jaeger, Kyle Wessels, Bob Brickman, Roger Kilburg, Brad Andresen, Joe Kilburg and Bob Nelson.

He was born Dec. 7, 1917, in Clinton to Herbert and Carrie Jones Jaeger. He married Eleanor McNulty on Dec. 16, 1945, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton.

He served in the U.S. during World War II from 1941 to 1945.

He was employed with E.I. Dupont for more than 30 years before retiring in 1980.

He was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church, member of the American Legion, VFW and Loyal Order of Oddfellows.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard (Mary) Jaeger and Norman (Linda) Jaeger, both of Clinton; one daughter, Lorraine “Lorie” (Matt) Wessels of Fulton, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Gateway Area Chapter of the American Red Cross or to Unity Christian School.
