Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
CLINTON — Walter L. Grumstrup, 91, of Clinton, died Monday at Mercy North Hospital.
Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Dan Jensen, Steve Heimbaugh, Bill Colson, Ron Blatchely and Mark Petersen.
He was born June 24, 1915, in Clinton to Walter S. and Maude Stoltenberg Grumstrup. He married Berniece A. Timm on Sept. 28, 1941, in Clinton. She died in 2003.
He attended Clinton High School.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clinton, the Loyal Order of the Moose and the Eagle Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Francis) Jensen of Clinton and Ellyne (John) Obermiller, both of Clinton; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Schroeder of Clinton; and two nieces and two nephews.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Alverno Health Care Facility Vehicle Fund or Future Farmers of American Scholarship Fund.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, three sisters and one brother.
