Alma L. Entwhistle

Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton. Law-Jones Funeral Home, Savanna, is handling arrangements.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Scott Bonestroo officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Alma L. Entwhistle, 84, of rural Morrison, died Thursday at Coventry Living Center, Sterling, Ill.

Burial will be at Cottonwood Community Cemetery, rural Morrison.

She was born July 9, 1922, in rural Morrison to Chris and Mary Kennedy Gehlsen on July 9, 1922, in rural Morrison. She married J. Wayne Entwhistle on Aug. 9, 1941, in Sterling.

She attended country schools in the Morrison area and was a 1940 graduate of Morrison High School. She also graduated from Sterling Business College.

She worked as a secretary for General Electric in Morrison for 27 years. She also owned and operated Entwhistle’s Dolls and Hobby Shop.

She was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Eldon (Marshann) Entwhistle of Princeton, Ill., Gehl (Dianne) Entwhistle of Elmhurst, Ill. ,and Brent Entwhistle of Morrison; two grandchildren; a brother, Lyle Gehlsen of Morrison; and a sister, Sarah (Guy) Johnston of Springfield, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
