Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Elizabeth.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with pastor Robert Phelps of the Pleasant Valley Church of God officiating.

ELIZABETH, Ill. — Erma L. Robinson, 83, of Elizabeth, died Saturday in Elizabeth.

Burial will be in the Ladies’ Union Cemetery, Stockton, Ill.

She was born March 23, 1923, in Woodland Township, near Mount Carroll, Ill., to Charles and Clara Toepfer Schubert. She married James Robinson, on Feb. 15, 1945, in Stockton. He died in 1971.

She and her husband farmed near Elizabeth for 26 years. She was a cook at the Elizabeth Nursing Home for 10 years, worked at Eickman’s Grocery in the bakery department, was a nurses’ aide at the Elizabeth Nursing Home and also worked in the lunch room for the Elizabeth School District.

She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Lee (Cheryl) Robinson and Dennis (Susanne) Robinson, both of Freeport, Ill., and Richard (JoAnn) Robinson of Elizabeth; three daughters, Karen (Robert) Winter of Elizabeth, Janet (Patrick) True of Hanover, Ill., and Patricia (Kevin) Kukla of Hanover Park, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leland (Alice) Schubert of Stockton.
