SERVICES: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fulton Township Cemetery. The Rev. Horst Hehr, interim pastor of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, will be officiating.
FULTON, Ill. — Lucille Eshelman, 84, formerly of Fulton, died Monday at the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.
Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Deer Park, Ala., to John and Mabel Tummel Fisher. She married Eugene Eshelman on Feb. 28, 1940, in Dixon, Ill. He died in 1999.
She attended Sublette (Ill.) grade schools.
She was a homemaker.
She was active in Ashton’s Women’s Service Club, Ashton, Ill., and First Reformed Church Junior RCYF. She was a Sunday school teacher at First Reformed Church, Fulton, and was Cub Scout den mother. She also was a member of the Garden Plain (Ill.) Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond (Beth) Eshelman of Albany, Ill., Richard (Connie) Eshelman of Mesa, Ariz., Roger (Ruth) Eshelman of Morrison, Ill., and Robert (Dawn) Eshelman of Fulton; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
