Marian L. Paasch

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Holm officiating.

CLINTON — Marian L. Paasch, 77, of Clinton, died Tuesday at Mercy South Hospital.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alex Fuller, Jamie Erps, J.R. Paasch, Ryan Vander Heiden, Pete Lamp, Perry Lamp, Jason Paasch, Joshua Paasch, Russ Hebeler, Jack Collins and Carl Slapnicka.

She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Clinton to Floyd and Margery Slapnicka Smith. She married Donald Paasch on Aug. 15, 1948, in Low Moor.

She graduated from Elvira High School.

She was a librarian at the Camanche Public Library for 15 years, Camanche Meal Site manager for 13 years and was a correspondent for the Clinton Herald and Quad-City Times.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was active with the Low Moor Field Day organization, an Iowa Community Betterment judge and member of the Camanche Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert (Marjorie) Paasch of Camanche and James (Cheryl) Paasch of Clinton; one daughter, Gayle Lynne Fuller of Clinton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine (Robert) Goddard of Clinton and Lois (Henry) Lamp of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Death date: Aug. 29, 2006
