SERVICES: 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. — Warner A. Zissler, 51, of Mount Carroll, died Sunday at his home.
He was born Oct. 11, 1954, in Rockford, Ill., to Warner R. and Mary E. Longnecker Zissler. He married Kim Seehaver on May 28, 1980, in Dallas. They renewed their wedding vows on Jan. 25.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1976. He served in the 82nd Airborne and later worked as a mechanic for many years.
Survivors include his wife; four brothers, Ronald (Rosemary) Zissler and Robert Zissler, both of Pecatonica, Ill., Larry Zissler of Rockford, Ill., and Gary (Brenda) Zissler of Rockford, Ill; four sisters, Shirley Alley of Sacramento, Calif., Mary McGrath of Wauwatosa, Wis., Judith Bickelhaupt of Covina, Calif., and Sharon (Kevin) McCoy of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
