Friends of Mrs. Grace Evans Gossard of Baltimore, Md., who died Jan. 8, may call at the Shaddock funeral home where the body will repose, following arrival Saturday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist church, the Rev. L.A. Gustafson officiating.
Grace, daughter of Charles A. and Rose Evans, 1920 North Second street, Clinton, was born Sept 15, 1916 in Clinton. She was married June 15, 1937 to Donald Gossard of Fulton, Ill. Immediately after their marriage, they moved to Baltimore, where he is employed by the U.S. social security department.
She was a member and ardent worker of the First Methodist church of Clinton and of the church in Baltimore. She was a graduate of Clinton High School and formerly an active member of various musical organizations and taught music.
Survivors are her husband, a newly born daughter; her parents; two brothers, Earl of Clinton and Lloyd of Longmont, Colo.; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Jess, Clinton; two uncles, J. W. Evans and Hans Jess of Clinton and an aunt, Mrs. Rueben Smith of Rock Falls, Ill.
