HAMMOND, Ind. — Roland C. “Chris” Boysen, 90, of Hammond and formerly of Clinton, died July 23.
Internment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Clinton to Henry and Alvena Holm Boysen. He married Olga Cervenak in 1948.
He graduated from Lyons High School in 1933. He also graduated from the University of Iowa in 1938.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II. He survived the Battle of the Coral Sea in the Pacific Ocean.
He retired from the Atlas Personal Agency, Hammond.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Cynthia Boysen of Hammond; and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
